Doctoral students in psychology

All doctoral students in psychology hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and are currently pursuing graduate studies at the doctoral level in psychology, which lasts approximately 4 to 8 years. The latter have all previously completed a first supervised clinical internship at the psychological services center of their respective universities, or are more advanced in their internships. Doctoral students in psychology must complete a total of approximately 2300 hours of clinical internship in addition to a doctoral essay or thesis in order to complete their doctorate and obtain the title of psychologist. All doctoral students in psychology are registered with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec, and are authorized to practice under the supervision of a psychologist. At the Clinique d’anxiété de Laval, our doctoral students in psychology receive regular supervision from the clinic’s co-directors.

Telephone pre-assessments

The person in charge of pre-evaluations handles responding to emails for new consultation requests and forwarding messages to the team members. She communicates with individuals to conduct a pre-assessment and ensure that the services we offer align with the person’s needs. She transmits service requests to psychologists with availability, and manages the waiting list.
